As I’m preparing for the spring wedding season, releasing new websites and other fun stuff in the works, Tom, Laura and I took a few hours to get together and shoot their complimentary engagement session. As always, Valley Forge Park never disappoints. And, Tom and Laura certainly were quite the troopers on this shoot!! A big thank you, high five and all around respect for both of them. We had 50mph winds and let me just say that just because Laura was wearing a short sleeve dress doesn’t really give you the proper impression of how cold it was that day! I feel a little guilty in admitting that I had base thermals and many other layers, a wool hat and a down jacket! So, I can only say that it was cold from what the weather report told me!! Although, the wind can be quite a tricky and frustrating element to deal with when photographing people, I feel like we came away with TONS of great stuff and I’m very happy with the results. One thing I like to suggest for any couple being photographed on a windy day is to wear some sort of hat. Men usually don’t have to worry about their hair being tossed by the wind but women usually go through the ringer when it’s this windy. Thanks Laura for hanging in there and being so willing to get involved in the shoot. I can’t wait for the wedding!!
